Al Salihat Girls Academy

34% of girls do not advance to secondary education according to www.epic-usa.org, while 30% of women are illiterate in Iraq. Canadian Aid and Relief Foundation understands the importance of having an educated society, and CARF believes women play an important role in educating a society. Therefore, we go to such great lengths here at the Canadian Aid and Relief Foundation to ensure we make an impact on the life of young women.

CARF supports Al-Salihat Girls Academy, a school which has the capability to educate over 400 young ladies from grade 7 to 12. A majority of our students are orphans; however, there are a few exceptions of low-income educationally advanced students which are required to pass placement tests to attend Al-Salihat.

As of September 2022, Al-Salihat Girls Academy teaches over 260 intelligent young women. Graduates of the school have been accepted at prestigious and advanced universities including medical, pharmaceutical, dentistry, and engineering schools.

All donations made to Al-Salihat Girls Academy will be matched dollar for dollar by an anonymous donor!
